Curating Plant Synergy
Synergy is the theory that when two or more substances interact, the combined effect is greater than the sum of their individual effects. In herbalism, some herbs can enhance each other's effects when combined, making them more effective in a blend than on their own.
The active compounds in one herb can enhance the absorption, effectiveness, or even the longevity of the compounds in another.

Alcohol Free Formulas
Alcohol-free tinctures can be a good option for people who are sensitive to alcohol, such as children, pregnant women and recovering alcoholics. Our tinctures are made with USP grade Glycerin and Raw Apple Cider Vinegar.

I’m not feeling or seeing effects from my herbs. Can I take more than the suggested serving size?If you’re a seasoned herb user and you have taken our formulas in the past, you may want to experiment with taking more than the recommended serving. However, if you’re new to herbs or you haven’t used our herbal formulas much in the past, we recommend using less than the recommended amount and building up your serving amounts over time. Our general rule is to not take more than 3 teaspoons or servings in one sitting. Some formulas, especially ones dealing with hormone imbalances may take 1-3 months for you to notice their effects. They key is consistency even when you do not see immediate results.

How and when should I take my herbal formulas?Each product is different and can be taken in a number of ways depending on your preference and previous exposure to herbs. Some are best taken with water while others are best with food, in smoothies, juices, milk, and tea. Review our recommendations on how to take your specific herbal formulas on the bottle of each product.

What is the shelf life of your products?Our products come with a label that specifies the expiration date. Our products have a one year shelf life.

Are there any side effects from taking herbs?There are no negative side effects expected or typical when using our herbal formulas at the recommended serving. However, allergies or negative reactions are possible, especially if you have a health condition, are on medication, or pregnant and nursing. Always consult with your health provider before taking any herbal products.

Do I need to refrigerate my products?None of our products require refrigeration, however we do recommend storing them in a cool, dark place away from direct heat and light for maximum freshness. You can however refrigerate products that contain apple cider vinegar if you choose.

Where do you source your ingredients?We work with ingredient providers who are certified fair-trade or adhere to the FDA Foreign Supplier Program to meet the quality and high standards of domestic sources. Our ingredients are also manufactured in FDA-registered and cGMP-compliant facilities.

Can I take this product with my medication?Herbs vary in their effects on the body. While some herbs can be mixed with medication, others may cause complications. Everyone is different and may be affected by herbal ingredients differently. Consult with your medical provider to discuss which herbal combinations would work with your current medication routine.

How many formulas can I take at once?If you’re a seasoned herbal medicine user, you can take several formulas at the same time. If you’re new to herbs, refer to your formula’s use instructions to decide how much and when to take them. It's a good rule of thumb to go low and slow. Use very little amounts of the herbal formulas until you’re certain the effects are positive, then if everything looks good, you can experiment with using more and combining different herbal formulas.

Why is my credit card payment not going through?If you are seeing an error upon entering your credit card information please make sure of the following: 1) The credit card numbers you entered is correct, including the security code 2) The name, billing address and zip code you enter upon checkout matches the name on your credit card billing statement (most common problem) 3) You have sufficient funds in your account (if using a debit card). Once an error occurs, your order is not processed and you will have to checkout again. If you are still having problems, you can pay via PayPal.

Can I return my order for a refund?Yes, you can return your order under the Arukah Apothecary Satisfaction Guarantee. If you are not 100% satisfied with our product, we will create a solution for you. You can return the product within 30 days of receiving it. We will send you a return label and you will receive a refund* minus a shipping and handling fee of $9.95. Please email hello@arukah.store and provide your full name, order number and reason for your return and we’d be happy to assist you.

How can I cancel my order?Unfortunately once your order is processed it cannot be cancelled as it’s already on its way to being shipped. Nevertheless, if you email us within 12 hours after you place your order to hello@arukah.store, there is a slight chance we can cancel it in time! If your order is processed and on its way to you and you’d like to return it, you can write RETURN TO SENDER on the package (without opening it) and have it sent back to us for a refund minus a $9.95 shipping and handling fee. Please email us at hello@arukah.store if you’re in this situation.

What are your shipping costs?Our shipping and handling is $7.50. Expedited 2 day domestic shipping is $15. We only ship in the USA for now.

How do I change my shipping address?If you contact us within a few hours after placing your order we will do our best to change your address. Unfortunately once your order is processed, we cannot change your address. Please email us at hello@arukah.store with your order number if you believe your package won’t arrive to you.

How do I track my order?After your order ships, you’ll receive a notification email with a tracking number and link, so you can check on your shipping status and know when to expect your order.

Are your products fair-trade?Our products are made with fair-trade ingredients and are meticulously sourced from our vendors. However, not all of our ingredients are certified-fair trade.

Are your products organic and non-GMO?While the majority of our ingredients are certified organic and non-GMO, some ingredients may be wildcrafted and/or cultivated without chemicals, pesticides, genetic modification, or radiation treatment. Wildcrafted ingredients are harvested from their natural habitats while being careful to leave the mother plant(s) in good condition to ensure the practice is regenerative and protects endangered species. However, they cannot be certified as such because they are not under the control of growers and processors. These ingredients go through rigorous organoleptic testing, pesticide, chemical, and heavy metal testing to ensure purity.
